The glow of the moon on new fallen snow. The sound of jingle bells in the night air. A crackling fire around which family is gathered. Rushing down the stairs in the early morning hours to see what Santa has left behind. Each of these are memories and moments that remind us of the Christmas season. All too often we are so rushed by the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, that we dont take a moment to reveal in the joy the holiday season brings. To me, one of the joys of Christmas is shopping for that special gift on Christmas Eve. I love the crowds; jostling, folks bumping into each other with smiles and apologies that would ordinarily be absent on any other day. Of course you run the risk of being trampled by the sea of humanity if you're shopping at the mall, but that just adds excitement to the holiday shopping experience! I love shopping at the mall on Christmas Eve.

It can be difficult to plan your family's very first family vacation together, especially if you have a few teenagers that are usually very hard to please. These teens usually are not very happy about having to spend time with their families, and it seems to be their personal vendetta to be able to make just about any parent feel underappreciated and “uncool.” However, smart parents know that while teens may not enjoy the idea of spending time with their uncool parents, a skiing vacation is a cool enough family vacation that their teens will be bragging about their trip for months to come.
